• The Student Centre

    The Student Centre is a brand new building and is located next to UCL’s Bloomsbury Theatre at 27- 28 Gordon Square. It is accessible from both Gordon Street and the Japanese Garden. The Student Centre provides practical support through a new Student Enquiries Centre, and with 1,000 new study spaces and new routes across campus, it radically improves the way you move and learn at UCL.

    The Student Centre is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, every single day of the year. Access to all areas of the building apart from the public atrium requires a UCL staff or current student ID card.

     

  • Front Quad and Portico

    The Front Quad and Portico is a place where many students meet to socialise, study or take a break between lectures. Numerous events at UCL take place here including the Freshers’ Fair, Graduation Ceremonies, Christmas Concert and the Bartlett’s Architecture Show. The Front Quad and Portico is located on Gower Street.

  • Chadwick Building

    The Chadwick Building is based off the main quad and is home to the UCL department of Civil, Environmental and Geomatic Engineering.

  • Student Central

    Student Central is open to any University of London student. Student Central hosts three bars, a fully equipped gym, fitness classes and the largest pool in central London! Student Central is based on Malet Street.

    Student Central also hosts UCL careers service and university of London housing services.

  • The Wilkins Building

    The Wilkins Building includes the North and South Cloisters as well as the UCL main library. The Digital Accessibility Hub is also located here.

  • Malet Place

    Here you will find the DMS Watson Building which houses the science library and the Petrie Museum of Egyptian Archaeology.

    Foster Court opposite houses the Departments of English, Hebrew and Jewish Studies and School of European Languages, Culture and Society (SELCS).

    On Malet Place you will also find the Darwin Building which houses UCL’s Research Department of Structural and Molecular Biology and Institute of Healthy Aging, the Institute of Making and the Malet Place Engineering and Engineering Front Building.

  • Institute of Education

    The Institute of Education is located on 20 Bedford Way near to Russell Square. The Institute of Education is ranked number one for education worldwide and provides teacher training and masters and research in to education.

  • Students’ Union UCL

    The Students’ Union is run by elected officers, provides a focus for student activity and a voice for student views. The Union student officers provide important input into UCL committees, to shape the way UCL is run. The Students’ Union runs a range of clubs and societies and also houses the Job Shop and the Advice Service. The Students’ Union is based at 25 Gordon Street.

  • Student Funding Welfare

    The student funding welfare advisers offer support, advice and guidance to students who are struggling with money management or experiencing complex funding issues.

    To access this support you should first email them letting them know your name, student number and the issue you are facing. Support is available on the telephone, by email or in a confidential one-to-one appointment.

  • The Print Room Cafe

    The Print Room Café is run by the Students’ Union and provides a range of homemade food, coffee and beer in the evening. It also hosts live performances. The Print Room café is based on the South Quad, Gower Street.
